We did it last month, and here we are again to do a honest review of the most popular, and most visited Nigerian owned blogs and websites for the month of February 2013.

 In this short review, we are not going to talk about websites owned by media houses and newspapers, we are going to focus on individual blogs and interactive websites owned by young Nigerians. Without wasting time, let’s get started immediately.

1.       www.nairaland.com: a forum-based website owned by a young Nigerian guy, Seun Osewa, and run by people through forum members and moderators. Recent report by alexa.com revealed that nairaland is the most visited African website in the year 2013 running, exceeding the South African owned News 24.

2.       www.lindaikeji.blogspot.com: this personal blog owned by a Nigerian single lady model turned blogger, Ms Linda Ikeji, is no doubt the most popular blog in Nigeria and in fact, the most visited personal blog in Africa, with over 500 unique comments daily.

3.       www.talkofnaija.com: this is truly talk of naija. It covers- entertainment, sports, celebrity gossip, current affairs, scandal news, corruption revelations and it also have a member section where people register and contribute via music upload or article writing.

4.       www.naij.com: its just similar to talkofnaija, but the difference is that it doesn’t support user sign up, but it’s a good site to visit.

5.       www.bellanaija.com: this is another hot personal website owned by a Nigerian lady. The only problem I have with the website is the way information is scattered, making it a bit confusing for a new visitor to locate the vital information posted daily on the website. But if you want to stay in touch with the latest happenings in Nigeria, when it comes to celebrity weddings, birthdays, and in fact occasions, then you need to be a regular visitor of bellanaija.

6.       http://ladunliadi.blogspot.com: this is another informative blog with responsive readers. The lady that owns the blog is as real as anything and she keeps it very cool. Pay a visit and you will never want to leave.

7.       www.olufamous.com: it’s a cool place to be, and good in digging out untold stories. If you want to stay in touch with untold stories about Nigerian celebrities and politicians, then visit olufamous website always.

8.       www.ynaija.com: are you asking the question- why naija? Then pay a visit to ynaija website today and find out the amazing answers to that ‘y’ question. In fact, ynaija is a cute website for daily news and happenings within and outside Nigeria.

9.       www.nigeriafilms.com: talk about Nigerian films, otherwise known as NOLLYWOOD films, then talk about nigeriafilms website. This is where most other websites and blogs get to find out about latest gist happening around NOLLYWOOD actors and actresses, so be the first to know, visit nigeriafilms.

10.   www.omg.com.ng: oh my g! This is another amazing Nigerian owned website, I love the design, and I am pretty sure you will also love it.
