SACKED CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Emerges New Emir Of Kano?

The table seems to have turned in favour of the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi at the die-minute as he has been named the new Emir of Kano instead of his uncle.

There were confusions earlier in the day as the first of son of the late Ado Bayero, Sanusi Ado Bayero, who is the Ciroman Kano, was said to have been picked by the kingmakers.

However, an intense lobby was said to have been mounted to ensure the emergence of the former CBN Governor as the next Emir of the influential city.

The former CBN boss has been having a running battle with the Federal Government over the manner he was removed as boss of the apex bank.

His emergence is believed to be a major loss for the Peoples Democratic Party led FG which has not hidden any disdain for him.

Kano State’s Secretary to the Government, Rabi’u Sulaiman Bichi, made public Sanusi’s emergence.
