Finally it’s here- The 2014 FIFA World Cup draw, which was
held in Brazil today, with Nigeria emerging in Group F to play against South
American giant Argentina, alongside Iran and Bosnia Herzegovina. This is indeed
a funny coincidence as Nigeria lands in same group with Argentina just like in
South Africa 2010, hehe.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will be playing its first game against
Iran. But while we rejoice that we have some funny countries in our group, let’s
recall that Bosnia Herzegovina even though they sound easy, ranked higher than
Nigeria in the FIFA world football rating. Just in case, Bosnia is ranked 21st,
while Nigeria is ranked 36th, all the same, I am pretty sure that Nigeria will
pass through the first round, maybe with Argentina.
