Nigeria's Golden Eaglet Coach Manu Sacked?: Amunike appointed new team coach

The Nigerian Football Federation has said that the Golden Eaglets assistant coach Emmanuel Amunike will be in charge of the national U-17 team.

Coach Manu Garba and assistant, Nduka Ugbade have been promoted along with the victorious team that won FIFA U-17 world cup have been promoted to the national U-20 team.

According to mtnfootball, the newly promoted Flying Eagles and crew (2013 Fifa U-17 champions) are due to set up training camp in March.

“We want to ensure that this present U17 team grow with their coach. So as we are elevating the players, we are also elevating the coaches,” a top official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) informed MTNFootball.com


“However, we have ensured continuity by keeping Emmanuel Amunike, so we can sustain the style, character of the Golden Eaglets.”
