According to latest eyewitness reports from Ajah area of Lagos,
there's serious chaos along Ajah Road right now.
The reports claims that ‘Area boys’ and passers-by are
clashing with policemen after a trailer crushed five students trying to cross
over the road, presumably on their way to school this morning.
It was learnt that the unfortunate incident took place near
Ikota Primary School. As usual, the
tanker driver abandoned his truck and ran away to a yet be disclosed location.
The crowd are protesting and insisting that Lagos State Governor Fashola must show up and explain why he hasn’t instructed LCC to erect a pedestrian bridge in the area, which according to them would have prevented the ugly incident.

As you read this, the two express lanes leading in and out
of Ajah have been blocked by the angry protesters which has caused heavy
traffic in the area. There's heavy police presence in that area too.
