Anambra Government Re-names Anambra State University After late Odumegwu Ojukwu!

Anambra State University, Uli formerly, Anambra State Polytechnic, ANATECH, has been re-named again for the third time, but this time, it was named after late Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. 

This was made known in a live broadcast on ABStv on Friday November 1st by Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi. 

According to the governor, the university was renamed after late Ojukwu in celebration of his posthumous 80th birthday.

Recall that late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu was the former military governor of the Eastern Region of Nigeria before the first military coup in 1966....and he died on November 26, 2011 at the age of 78.
