Two days ago we brought you pictures from President Goodluck
Jonathan’s pilgrimage to Israel. Today, we are bringing you pictures from his
day two in Israel. This time, President Goodluck visited the wailing wall at
Jerusalem old city.
In case you don’t know what the ‘wailing wall’ is, it is the
place where the body of Jesus Christ was cleaned and perfumed before he was
buried. Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan was accompanied to the wailing
wall by Governor Peter Obi of Anambra state, minister of Information Labaran
Maku, CAN president Ayo Oritsejafor, Gov Suswan of Benue state, Gov Emmanuel
Uduaghan of Delta State, Reuben Abati and a host of other government
functionaries.
It will be recalled that this is the first time since 30
years that a sitting Nigerian president would visit the holy land of Israel…and
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is breaking that record and bringing Nigeria’s
relationship with Israel closer.
