It's a Twitter war!!!!

Chris Brown confirmed he and Rihanna split earlier this week -- and the two wasted no time getting nasty with each other again (not like that) on Twitter.

Fans have been reading between the not-so-subtle lines after both Chris and Rihanna shared some very telling things on their respective social networking sites.

First, RiRi started it off with this Instagram pic:

And while the pic insinuates that RiRi either dropped her friends or (depending on her meaning for "hoes") remained faithful while they were together, a tweet from today suggests otherwise:
