Ex Zambian President Has Been Arrested Over Oil Theft In Connection With Nigeria Oil Deal


The former Zambian leader, Rupiah Banda has been arrested for making an oil deal with Nigerian government worth more than $11 million that didn’t benefit his country. He will be charged to court on Tuesday for corruption charges, and if found guilty, will be jailed.


The former president was questioned for nearly three hours after his arrest, his lawyer Sakwiba Sikota said, adding that Banda had done nothing wrong.
