BREAKING NEWS: Truck Crushes A Commuter Bus Today At Owerri!

This is an eye-witness report from a dedicated reader of Ngozikanwiro Blog, and the eye-witness report went like this: Just this morning, a truck lost control for unidentifiable reason and ran into a fully loaded commuter bus carrying early morning travellers, traveling within the Imo State capital of Owerri, and three women were yet to be rescued as all effort to pull the truck or the bus seemed impossible as at the time of filing in this report- 8:30am.

I saw passengers trapped helplessly with no hope of rescue, and even the volunteer rescuers were all afraid of the bus catching fire as the truck driver (a mallam) kept shouting- the truck will catch fire o! the truck will catch fire o!

This left me wondering what our government is doing to provide adequate rescue team for incidents like this?

Seriously we need volunteer organizations to start a non-government rescue missions in Nigeria. So sad...

The picture above is a picture taken by the eye-witness, and that shows how horrible the situation is; I can't even analyze the picture, but it looks so horrible, sighs. May God help us all.
