A NURSE CONFESSES: Common Ways Single Ladies Contract HIV/AIDS

Working in the health sector as a nurse has exposed me to so many eye-opening experiences. I am writing you this email as my own way of saving millions from getting infected with the deadly virus called HIV.

It was fortunate and unfortunate that after I lost my first job, the only place I could secure another job was with a hospital that specializes on abortion. It hurts me sometimes when I look back at the days I worked with this terrible hospital, directly under the CMD, a man that believes in terminating life via his profession.

What also pains me is the fact that most young girls who do come to our hospital with less complication, do go home with more complications, how? Majorly they come to abort unwanted pregnancy, but do usually go home with HIV, how?

People are well informed of the various traditional means via which HIV is transmitted, viz. unprotected and oral sex, sharing of sharp objects (razor blade, needles, pins, knives, hair clippers, etc), but they are not aware of this instant HIV transmission medium- Dilation and Curettage (D&C) used by medical doctors to abort unwanted pregnancies.

How Does D&C Transmit HIV?
Most hospitals that perform D&C do usually have high patronage from my personal experience, sometimes my own hospital alone do have up to fifty different ladies who came to terminate a pregnancy, and as a result of this high number of customers, the doctors hardly had time for proper sterilization of the equipments used during D&C- the Auvard Weighted Speculum, the Sims Vaginal Retractor, etc, and hence majority of the patients do go home infected if a previous patient is positive.

My Advice For Young Ladies (Married & Single) Out There
If you can, please avoid unnecessary abortion of pregnancy via D&C, and if for any crucial reason you must, please ensure the doctor and his supporting nurses sterilizes the equipments very well before using them on you.

And the best practice remains abstinence if you are single, and continual use of adequate birth control method prescribed by your doctor if married and no longer in need of having babies.

I wish you all the best in life, and may God bless you all.

  1. very true..because most times they don't even carry out tests on their clients before TOP..so they can easily transmit the virus to anybody
