A never-before-seen photograph of a teenage Princess Diana is set to go up for auction later this month.
The black-and-white photo shows an 18 or 19-year-old Diana Spencer lounging on the lap of a young, unidentified man. On the window ledge behind them is a bottle of whisky. The picture is believed to have been taken on a Swiss ski holiday around 1979 or 1980.
The picture was sold to the Daily Mirror on February 26, 1981 - two days after Diana's engagement to the Prince of Wales was announced.
The photo is causing a bit of a stir as the words "not to be published" were scrawled across it.
The photograph remained in the Mirror's archives until it was purchased seven years ago by the Caren Archive, which is now putting the picture up for sale through RR Auctions in New Hampshire.
