The bubblegum pop star admitted that she didn’t believe rumors that Mariah didn’t want her on the panel… until she ““started feeling, like, a little bit of the shade.”
Minaj then explained all the cuss-filled fighting during the “Idol” auditions:
“I just kind of overcompensated by being crazier.”
She continued:
“If you know somebody maybe doesn’t like you, now you’re going to really go in… it’s like a defense mechanism, it’s really that your feelings are hurt, and you can’t believe, so you just compensate by being crazy.”
But despite allegedly threatening to shoot Mariah, Nicki promises that they’ve buried the hatchet.
“I cannot hold a grudge against Mariah Carey. I’ve looked up to her for so many years.”
Now the female judges have the upcoming live episodes to look forward to, even though it makes Nicki a little bit nervous. She admitted:
“I’m not looking forward to live shows… I cannot trust myself. If there’s a comment being made… I don’t want to look like a crazy psycho again.”
She also explains why she had a diamond ring on her finger.
