A 21 year old girl had worn a pair
of contact lenses during a barbecue party (an
event or meal at which
food is cooked outdoors over an open grill or fire), while barbecuing she stared at the fire charcoals
continuously for 2-3 minutes.
After a few minutes, she started to scream for help and moved rapidly, jumping up and down. No one in the party knew why she was screaming and jumping up and down; some even thought she had been possessed by a mermaid spirit or something....

Immediately, she was rushed to a
nearby hospital and was admitted into the hospital, and after a thorough
examination, the doctor said that she'll be
blind permanently, everyone was shocked the asked why, and what happened? The doctor
then revealed to them that she was wearing contact lenses that melted in her eyes as a result of heat.

plastic materials, which melt under a certain temperature, and the heat from the charcoal melted her contact lenses.
