French Tourists Reportedly Kidnapped In Cameroon, Have Been Released In Nigeria!

Reports in French media indicate that the seven French hostages believed to be held by the Boko Haram have been released.

France 24 quotes the French minister for veterans as saying the hostages were released in Nigeria. They were reportedly released in a village called Lamida Dikwa.

Cameroonian authorities however denied the hostages have been released.

The seven tourists were kidnapped in Northern Cameroon but believed to have been transported to Nigeria on motorcycles.

Nigerian officials are yet to make any statement on the release. Frank Mba, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force could not be reached as he did not pick or return calls made to his phone.
